This chili can be as spicy as you like by using mild, medium, or hot salsa. It is great served over brown rice, with cornbread, or with tortilla chips and sour cream!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans diced tomotoes(14-15oz can), undrained
- 1 jar salsa, mild
- 2 packages old elpaso chili seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 cans dark red kidney beans(14-15oz can), drained
- 2 cans pinto beans(14-15oz can), drained
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped
How To Make mary's chili

Step 1Brown hamburger with onion, green pepper and garlic.

Step 2In a large soup pot, place the next 6 ingredients and stir to mix well.

Step 3Drain hamburger mixture and add to pot, stir to mix.

Step 4Cook on low for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Step 5Garnish with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and scallions!
