Ingredients

  • 2 pounds flat iron steak
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

How To Make marinated seared flatiron steak

  • Step 1
    Trim the steak of any fat. Mix the marinade ingredients together and place the steak in a Ziploc bag. Pour the marinade over the steak and place it on a paper plate in the fridge. Let it marinate overnight.
  • Step 2
    Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about an hour.
  • Step 3
    Get a cast iron pan and add a little oil. Once the pan is hot, sear the steak for about 5 minutes on each side, depending on how thick the steak is.
  • Step 4
    Remove the steak to a carving board and tent with foil.
  • Step 5
    Let it rest for 15 minutes. Slice and enjoy.
