This is a recipe from my grandmother that is very different but is WONDERFUL! I usually serve with homemade mashed potatoes and a veggie. The heated marinade mixture words wonderful as a gravy for the potatoes.

- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 clove garlic - minced
- 1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make marinade for london broil

Step 1TENDERIZE A 2-3LB LONDON BROIL. YOU CAN USE A REGULAR FORK IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACTUAL TENDERIZER TOOL. LIGHTLY SALT AND PEPPER EACH SIDE OF THE MEAT, SET ASIDE.

Step 2COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS INTO LARGE MIXING BOWL.

Step 3ADD MEAT INTO LARGE FREEZER BAG THEN POUR IN MARINADE MIXTURE.

Step 4ALLOW TO SIT IN REFRIGERATOR FOR AT LEAST 2 TO 4 HOURS BUT OVERNIGHT IS BEST.

Step 5REMOVE MEAT FROM BAG AND PLACE ON PREHEATED GRILL OVER LOW HEAT. COOK ON EACH SIDE NO LONGER THAN 5-6 MINUTES.

Step 6TAKE REMAINING MARINATE MIXTURE AND HEAT TO BOILING IN SAUCEPAN FOR APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MINUTES.

Step 7ONCE MEAT IS COOKED (SHOULD BE RARE TO MEDIUM FOR A GOOD LONDON BROIL) SLICE ENTIRE SLAB OF MEAT INTO 1/4 INCH SLICES, ARRANGE ONTO SERVICE TRAY AND DRIZZLE WITH HEATED MARINADE MIXTURE.
