  • 2 lb
    round steak, lean, fat removed, cut into serving sized pieces (about 8)
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 can(s)
    (14 oz) tomatoes
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 3 to 4
    celery stalks, sliced
  • 3 to 4
    carrots,sliced thinly
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Low Fat Swiss Steak And Gravy Freezer Meal


  1. Spray nonstick cooking spry on fry pan and brown steak on both sides.
  2. Place in freezer dish but do not clean frying pan. In a small bowl add flour then slowly add water while constantly stirring, so no lumps form.
  3. Add to frying pan and bring to a boil, using a spoon or spatula to lift any browned bits left over in the fry pan to create a sauce.
  4. When sauce thickens slightly, add remaining ingredients and stir.
  5. Pour sauce over chicken, allow to cool, cover, label and freeze.
  6. To serve, thaw overnight in fridge. If not already in a baking dish, pour into one.
  7. Cover baking dish. Bake in 350 oven for 2 1/2 hours or until cooked through and tender.
  8. This is great served over noodles.
