low carb ground beef and mushroom skillet
Low carb diets can get old after a while and it's sometimes difficult to come up with something different. The only thing in this recipe with any real carbs is the tomato sauce. Even though I'm the one on the diet, my family asked for seconds. We ate it with a spoon as a stew. I forgot to take a picture of it but will do so the next time I make it.

Ingredients
- 2 - lbs. ground beef
- 16 - oz. baby bella mushrooms, sliced
- 1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 4 - oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 - cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 - medium onion, diced
- 1-1/2 - tsp. italian seasonsing
- 1-1/2 - tsp. salt
- 1/2 - tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 - cup heavy cream
- 1 - slightly rounded tsp. garlic powder
How To Make low carb ground beef and mushroom skillet

Step 1In a skillet with a little cooking oil and 2 tbsp. butter, saute mushrooms, sprinkling with salt, pepper, and some garlic powder. Cook to desired texture.

Step 2In another skillet, brown ground beef, onion, and seasonings until beef is done and onions are translucent. Add tomato sauce and mix well.

Step 3Add mushrooms. Add cream cheese and mix well. Add Parmesan cheese and mix well. Add heavy cream and stir well. Simmer until all flavors meld.
