I was messing around in the kitchen and tossing stuff in the hamburger because I was tired of plain old bbq hamburgers. Well surprise surprise the family and friends we had over for dinner LOVED it!! we have not had a plain bbq'ed hamburger since. The kids enjoy helping. It has been a fun way to get them involved in the beginning stages of learning to cook. I have handed the recipe out at every bbq we have had since. I finally wrote it down and made copies, it was easier than writing it out everytime!! I hope you and yours enjoy it as much as me and mine!!

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pickels
  • 2 teaspoons butter or margarine
  • 1/8 cup chopped or minced garlic (optional)

How To Make loaded cheeseburgers 4 the bbq

  • Step 1
to make this quick and easy I enlist the kids to run the food processor or chopper for the pickles and onions. even with out those it only takes 15 minutes to prep.
  • Step 2
cook the chopped onion in the 2 tsp. of butter or margarine first then set aside to cool. mix all other ingredients together well add onion in last. There is no right or wrong order in which to mix the ingredients so do not worry about that. add in your onion, mixing well. shape patties, making whatever size you prefer. place on BBQ and cook to your liking. easy and quick!! great for picnics too!! the kids love to help mix.
