I was trying to come up with my own interpretation of my mother's burgers.. This is what I came up with... Enjoy!

prep time 15 Min
cook time 20 Min
method ---
yield 2 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 1/2 - medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped (finely) coriander (cilantro)
  • 1 package hidden valley ranch (powder salad dressing)
  • 1 - medium size jalapeno finely chopped and de-seeded
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 - whole egg
  • - breadcrumbs to bind
  • 1 clove garlic minced

How To Make loaded burgers

  • Step 1
MIx all ingredients except for cheddar cheese.
  • Step 2
make patties thin but compacted so cheese will not pour out.
  • Step 3
once you have the patties done, take one and place cheese in middle, cover with another one and make sure you seal it tight
  • Step 4
grill for around 5 or 6 minutes on one side, carefully turn and then poke a couple of holes on the cheese side to let steam escape.
  • Step 5
grill your buns and plate! you can add to your burger guacamole, bacon, pico de gallo (tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, cilantro all finely chopped) salsa etc
