Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

1 pkg
calf liver
1 large
onion
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
cayenne pepper
salt to taste
tsp
pepper
1 fl
juice of one lemon
c
flour
vegetable oil to cover skillet
hot sauce (optional)
2 slice
bread, whole wheat
mustard (optional)

How to Make Liver & Onion Sandwich

Step-by-Step

  • 1Pour oil in skillet to cover bottom heat to about 375 degrees.
    Wash and pat dry liver. Squeeze lemon juice over liver. Let set while mixing dry ingrediants with flour.
  • 2Mix dry ingredients and dredge liver
    Shake off remaining liver
    Place in skillet and cook about 5 minutes per side
    Remove liver and add onions.
    Cook until tender
  • 3Place liver on 1 piece of wheat bread, top with onions, hot sauce, mustard and bread.
