Ingredients
- 1 pound calf liver
- 1 cup buttermilk
- - all purpose flour
- - salt to taste
- - pepper to taste
- 1 large yellow onion
How To Make liver and onions

Step 1Add some onions while the liver slices are frying do not over crowd. Allow them to cook until golden brown. Drain on paper towells and put in oven low temp 180 to keep warm.

Step 2Make a gravy with drippings and flour 3 tblsp brown in drippings and then add liquid. You can use the potato water you boiled your potatoes in for mashed potatoes or milk. Gravy--I add 3 tbls sugar when browning then add the liquid. Cook until desired consistency. salt & Pepper to taste.
