A traditional family recipe perfect for a jewish holiday table ( and any table at all)! Very flavorful, easy to make, again and again. Use one large roasting pan, no mess, no fuss!

Ingredients
- 3-5 pounds beef brisket, first cut
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons duck sauce (i like saucy susan)
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- dash pepper to taste
- 2-3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 cups ginger ale

Step 1Trim most of the fat from the meat. Place in a large roasting pan, fat side down. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees

Step 2Sprinkle all ingredients (except ketchup and ginger ale) one by one, on the meat. Save the ketchup for the last ingredient to sprinkle. Using a flat knife spread to cover the meat evenly. It should now be an ugly mess!

Step 3Pour 2 cups of ginger ale over this mess! Cover tightly with foil.

Step 4Bake in a 325 degree oven for 3 hours.

Step 5Allow the meat to cool overnight. Slice into thin strips. Put back into the sauce. Serve with roasted poatoes. YUMMY!!!!
