lee’s favorite meatball’s
This is my husband’s favorite meatball recipe. It’s so easy to make, but the results are great. I didn’t forget to add the salt. The Montreal steak seasoning adds plenty. Baking them helps keep them together. Frying after baking them gives the meatballs a nice brown crust. Substitute ground Italian sausage for half of the ground beef for a bit of a kick. The cooked meatballs freeze well.

How To Make lee’s favorite meatball’s
-
Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
-
Step 2Mix the ground beef (and Italian sausage if you use it), eggs, Italian seasoning, Montreal steak seasoning, and white pepper in a large bowl using your clean hands.
-
Step 3Add the breadcrumbs and about half of the water. Mix with your hands, adding more water to get everything incorporated but not making the mix too loose.
-
Step 4I use an ice cream scoop to measure the meatballs, about 3/4 of a scoop is perfect.
-
Step 5Roll your meatballs and place on a parchment paper covered cookie sheet.
-
Step 6Bake for 30 min.
-
Step 7Immediately transfer to hot olive oil in a large frying skillet and fry until the meatballs are nice and brown. You will need to do this in a few batches.
-
Step 8Drain on paper towels.
-
Step 9Add to your favorite sauce and let it all simmer. Serve over pasta.
