1/4 c
dry bread crumbs
1 tsp
1 tsp
mixed herbs (oregano, basil, marjoram)
1 tsp
dry mustard
1/4 tsp
ground cumin seeds
5/8 tsp
garlic powder
1.5 c
potatoes, sliced
1 medium
onion, sliced and separated in rings
1.25 c
1 c
cheddar cheese
1/2 c
swiss cheese
2 Tbsp

How to Make Layered Hamburger Pie


  • 1Mix beef with egg, bread crumbs, salt, herbs, mustard, cumin and garlic powder.
  • 2Pat evenly into a 9 inch pie pan to make a crust.
  • 3Fill crust with a layer of potatoes, onion and mushrooms, reserving some mushrooms to ring the pie.
  • 4Cover with foil.
  • 5Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until potatoes are done.
  • 6Remove from oven.
  • 7Remove foil.
  • 8Top with cheese and sprinkle with parsley.
  • 9Return to oven just long enough to melt cheese.
