This seems to be everyone's choice for Lasagna. I get so many requests to serve it. I just served it to company last week and the gal wanted my recipe !!!

Ingredients For lasagna

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    italian hot sausage
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 8 oz
    sliced mushrooms, more or less to your taste
  • 1 tsp
    each, salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 3 - 24 oz. jar
    pre made speghetti sauce, i use paul neumans sockaroni
  • 2 lg
    eggs, beaten
  • 32 oz
    ricotta cheese
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    parsley flakes, divided
  • 2 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 2 - 16 oz
    mozzarella cheese
  • 1 box
    lasagna noodles
  • 1 c
    grated parmesan cheese

How To Make lasagna

    Preheat Oven to 350* Boil Noodles according to directions. In a deep skillet, brown Ground beef and Hot sausage together, Brown then drain. Return pan to the stove add mushrooms and onions. cook until tender. Add Spaghetti Sauce. Stir.

    in a large bowl combine Ricotta Cheese with the beaten Eggs. Add 1 Cup Mozzarella cheese, Garlic Powder, Italian Seasoning, and 2 teaspoons Parsley, Mix well.

    Spread a large spoonful of Meat Mixture into the bottom of a 9X13 pan. Layer 1/3 of the noodles on top of the Meat Mix. Spread 1/3 of the Ricotta Mixture Over the noodles. Spread 1/3 of the Mozzarella lightly over the Ricotta Mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan over the Ricotta. spread 1/3 of remaining Meat Mixture over the top

    Repeat twice as follows: Noodles, Ricotta, Mozzarella and Meat Sauce. Sprinkle with Mozzarella, Parmesan and remaining Parsley.

    Spray a sheet of foil with oil, cover the baking dish with the sprayed foil. Bake at 350* for 30 or 40 Minutes Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
