This is so good. I like to double the marinade and reduce it down to make a thick sauce.

  • 3-4 large
    beef short ribs about 6 pieces
  • 1 c
    soy sauce
  • 1 large
    pear peeled and grated
  • 12 oz
    can coke
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 2 medium
    shallots minced
  • 8 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 3/4 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    roasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 4
    green onions green parts only for garnish

How to Make Korean Beef Short Ribs


  1. Mix all the ingredients together except for ribs and green onions. Place the ribs in the mixture and marinate overnight.
  2. Place the ribs with the marinade in a large skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook about 1 hour until ribs are tender. Watch and make sure they don't cook dry adding some water if needed. Garnish with green onions
