kicking rice meatballs
This basic recipe has been a favorite comfort food enjoyed in our home for 40 years. After the kids grew up, it grew up and became a delicious and "kicking" mature favorite.

Ingredients
- 1 cup rice, instant and uncooked
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 large egg, slightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons grated onion
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon marjoram, dried
- dash black pepper
- 2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz), divided
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup El Pato hot tomato sauce
How To Make kicking rice meatballs

Step 1Combine uncooked rice with beef, onion, salt, marjoram, pepper, and 1/4 c tomato sauce.

Step 2Add sugar to the remaining tomato sauce and El Pato and combine. Pour over the meatballs and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 20 min. Add water if needed to have some extra sauce.

Step 3More El Pato for more heat if desired!
