kentucky chop suey
(1 RATING)
This is a recipe my Granny taught me years ago. She always had some ready to feed all of her grandkids that came over. It is now my daughter's favorite dish!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tablespoon each of garlic powder and onion powder
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- - black pepper to flavor
How To Make kentucky chop suey
-
Step 1Brown ground beef and add onions while browning. Drain well and put back in skillet.
-
Step 2Stir in garlic and onion powders, pepper, and soy sauce. Stir for about 20 seconds and let beef absorb juice a little.
-
Step 3Add cooked rice at very last so that it will not soak up all soy and/or any grease that may remain. Serve piping hot with a side salad and some apple sauce. Yum!
