I very good friend of mine shared this recipe with me. My husband says it's the best meatloaf he has ever tried!

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

2 lb
ground beef, thawed
3 Tbsp
brown sugar
1/8 c
chopped onion
1 c
oatmeal, uncooked
1
egg
2 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1 can(s)
whole peeled tomatoes
2 pinch
salt and pepper

GLAZE

3 Tbsp
brown sugar
1/2 c
ketchup

How to Make Kelly's Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine ground beef, brown sugar, chopped onion, egg, worcestershire sauce, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
  • 2Add oatmeal to firm, about 1 cup. Round mixture and place into baking dish.
  • 3In a small bowl, combine ketchup and brown sugar to make a glaze. Pour over top of "loaf". Bake uncovered at 350 degrees in oven for 1 hr and 15 mins. Enjoy!
  • 4NOTES: I have even omitted the tomatoes and it still turned out moist and yummy! You can use diced tomatoes if you prefer. I serve this dish with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies.
