Found this recipe on the Pillsbury website while looking for something quick to make for dinner using a can of crescent rolls. Surprisingly, it tastes EXACTLY like McD's burgers - don't leave out the dill pickles, that's what makes the entire recipe!!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/4 c
    chopped dill pickles
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded american or cheddar cheese
  • 1 can(s)
    pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame seeds

How to Make Just like McD's Hamburger Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in pickles, water, ketchup, mustard and pepper.
  2. Spoon beef mixture into 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Unroll dough; press 2 crescents together to form a rectangle; continue till all crescents are done. Place on top of cheese. Brush with egg; sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown
