Found this recipe on the Pillsbury website while looking for something quick to make for dinner using a can of crescent rolls. Surprisingly, it tastes EXACTLY like McD's burgers - don't leave out the dill pickles, that's what makes the entire recipe!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded american or cheddar cheese
  • 1 can pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

How To Make just like mcd's hamburger casserole

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in pickles, water, ketchup, mustard and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Spoon beef mixture into 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Step 3
    Unroll dough; press 2 crescents together to form a rectangle; continue till all crescents are done. Place on top of cheese. Brush with egg; sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Step 4
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown
