josephine's meatballs
This meatball recipe from my Mom's cousin, Josephine, was a great hit! So much so that we now make 10 pans of them each year and sell them as a Sweet BBQ Meatball supper at our church.

Ingredients
- MEATBALLS:
- 3 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 cups oatmeal, uncooked
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- SAUCE
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
How To Make josephine's meatballs

Step 1Mix all the meatball ingredients together. Shape into 1" balls, put in greased 9x13 pan, 1 layer only. Mix sauce ingredients. Spoon over meatballs.

Step 2Bake 1 hour uncovered at 350 degrees. Makes 36 meatballs.
