1 lb
sirloin tip cut into small bite size pieces
3 bottle
flour, or enough to flour beef tips
1/2 c
chopped onions
1/2 c
chopped celery
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)
1 c
sour cream
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 to 3 Tbsp
butter for browning

How to Make Jane's Beef Stroganoff


  • 1Cut beef into bite size pieces, roll in flour and brown in a large skillet with 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • 2After browing beef remove from skillet and set aside
  • 3Put a little more butter in skillet and then place chopped onions and celery in it and about 10 minutes at very low heat.
  • 4After onion and celery are tenderized, add mushroom soup, water, sour cream and wors. sauce.
  • 5Simmer about 5 minutes and then add beef back to skillet. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6Simmer all for at least 30 minutes and 3 to 4 hours for best results. Serve over rice or noodles.
