Jalapeno, Cream Cheese Stuffed Hamburgers

These may be fully prepared, covered with plastic wrap and refrigerated until ready to grill. You can easily halve this recipe. I am sure you could also broil these. They are VERY good!!

large jalapeno pepper seeded and finely chopped. (may add more)
8 oz
softened cream cheese
2 lb
ground beef or ground chuck
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
2 pkg
onion soup mix
hamburger buns.


1Set grill to medium or turn broiler on. In a bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese with jalapeno pepper and mix well.
In another bowl mix the beef with the onion soup mix and garlic. Divide into 16 equal portions. Pat out each portion to about 1/3 inch thick patty. Spoon 2 Tbspns of the cheese mix into the center of 8 patties. Do NOT spread it out. Top with remaining patties, pressing down the edges to seal. Grill for about 6 mins per side. Do NOT press down on burgers while cooking or the cheese will ooze out.
