lean ground beef
1/3 c
green pepper, chopped
3/4 c
6 oz
tomato paste
1 pkg
spaghetti sauce mix, 1 1/2 ounces
pie crust shell
1/3 c
grated parmesan cheese
1.5 c
mozzarella cheese, grated

How to Make Italiano Meat Pie


  • 1Preheat oven to 400.
  • 2Brown beef in large skillet.
  • 3Drain.
  • 4Add green pepper and cook 2 minutes.
  • 5Stir in water, tomato paste and spaghetti sauce mix.
  • 6Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  • 7Sprinkle half of the parmesan cheese over bottom of pie shell.
  • 8Spread half meat mixture in pie shell.
  • 9Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese over MEAT.
  • 10Layer remaining meat and parmesan cheese.
  • 11Bake on cookie sheet 15 minutes.
  • 12Sprinkle top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • 13Return to oven until cheese melts and browns.
