  • 1/2 lb
    lean ground beef, or a little more
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 clove
    garlic, chopped
  • 1 pkg
    frozen chopped spinach, thawed, 10 oz
  • 3 c
    cooked rice
  • 1 c
    grated jack cheese
  • 4
    eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato sauce, 15 oz
  • 1/2 tsp
    each, basil, oregano and pepper (pepper is optional)
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Italian Style Quiche from Mom Marcon's Kitchen

Step-by-Step

  1. Saute beef, onion and garlic until meat loses its red color. Add spinach, rice and jack cheese.Mix well, Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Stir into rice/meat mixture. Turn into greased shallow 2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until set. Meanwhile, blend tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer about 5 minutes. Cut quiche into squares and serve topped with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese.
