We love pot roast but I wanted to spice it up for a different taste. This is a great way to fix it with herbs and red wine!

Ingredients
- 1 - roast, trimmed
- - red potatoes cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup beef broth, reduced sodium
How To Make italian pot roast

Step 1Brown all sides of roast in vegetable oil.

Step 2Combine tomato sauce and next nine ingredients.

Step 3Place potatoes in bottom of a crock pot and place roast on top of pototoes. Pour sauce over roast and potatoes.

Step 4Cook in crock pot 8-10 hours or until done. (Or bake, covered at 325 degress for 3 hours or until roast is tender.)
