Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 pound italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups cracker crumbs
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 - bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 - clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • FILLING INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 pound boiled ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 can mushrooms (8 ounces), drained

How To Make italian meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Mix first eleven ingredients together.
  • Step 2
    Reserve 1/4 cup pizza sauce.
  • Step 3
    On a large sheet of wax paper, pat meat into a 10 x 13\" rectangle.
  • Step 4
    Arrange ham on top of meat mixture, leaving a small margin.
  • Step 5
    Spread mushrooms over ham.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle cheese over all.
  • Step 7
    Reserve small amount of cheese.
  • Step 8
    Start at 10\" size and roll meat like a jelly roll.
  • Step 9
    Use wax paper to lift.
  • Step 10
    When rolled tightly, seal edges.
  • Step 11
    Place seam side down in a 9 x 13\" pan.
  • Step 12
    Brush with reserved pizza sauce.
  • Step 13
    Bake 1 1/4 hours at 375 degrees, 10 minutes.
  • Step 14
    Before done, sprinkle reserved cheese over and finish baking.
