I came up with this one night when I didn't have any ketchup. My family loves it. You can serve with potatoes and other veggies or go with pasta using the remaining sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1 package lipton beef onion soup mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup italian bread crumbs
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups your favorite tomato pasta sauce

How To Make italian meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375.In a large bowl add beef, soup mix, garlic powder, egg, bread crumbs and 1/2 of pasta sauce. Mix well. Divide meat mixture into two equal halves.
  • Step 2
    Using a baking dish or loaf pan take first half of meat mixture and shape on the pan in desired shape, top with 1 cup of cheese. Top with second half of meat mixture (same shape as bottom)Cook on 375 for 35 minutes top with remaining sauce and remaining cheese, cook for another 5 minutes.
