My son loves meatballs...has to have them with his spaghetti! These are excellent meatballs and go well with pasta or by themselves as he would tell you!!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    ground pork
  • 1/3 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2
    green onions, minced
  • 1 small
    yellow onion, diced
  • 3 Tbsp
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 Tbsp
    grated romano cheese
  • 3 Tbsp
    minced fresh parsley
  • 3 Tbsp
    minced fresh basil
  • ·
    salt and pepper to own specific tastes
  • 1 c
    olive oil

How to Make Italian Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1 1/2" balls.
  3. Pour olive oil on shallow baking pan and place meatballs on top; swirl pan around to coat meatballs in oil.
  4. Bake meatballs for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown, but not cooked completely through. (unless eating by themselves)
  5. Remove meatballs from oil, drain on paper towels and stir into favorite pasta sauce.
