I love mixing up different marinades for meat on the grill. The base for this one, that I used for strip steaks is red wine. We really enjoyed it. I suggest marinating at least 4 hours. Hope you try it sometime.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    red wine
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1 tsp
    basil paste
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced garlic - i used jarred
  • 1/2 small
    onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
    to taste - optional - i used 1/2 tsp

How to Make ~ Italian Marinated Strip Steaks ~

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients together. Pour over up to 4 pound of steaks. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, shaking the container several times.
  2. Grill as usual, until desired donenness.
