Ingredients

1 1/4 lb
ground beef
1 tsp
minced garlic
1/2 tsp
salt
26 oz
spaghetti sauce
8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1/2 c
sour cream
1 c
chopped onions
1/2 lb
wide noodles, cooked
3/4 c
shredded mozzarella cheese
1 c
ricotta or cottage cheese

How to Make Italian Ground Beef Casserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown ground beef; then add garlic, salt and spaghetti sauce. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • 2While that simmers, beat together cream cheese, Ricotta cheese, and sour cream at low speed, until smooth.
    Add in onions, then stir to combine.
  • 3In a greased 9 X 13 inch pan, layer noodles, cream cheese mixture, then spaghetti sauce and top with 3/4 cup Mozzarella cheese.
  • 4Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • 5Remove from oven, cover and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
