    basil, dried
  • 3 Tbsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 pkg
    onion soup mix
  • 10
    sandwich buns, split horizontally

How to Make Italian Beef Sandwiches

Step-by-Step

  1. Place roast in a slow cooker.
  2. Combine basil, oregano and water; pour over roast.
  3. Sprinkle with soup mix; cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender.
  4. Remove meat; shred with a fork and keep warm. Strain broth; skim off fat.
  5. Serve meat on rolls; use broth for dipping if desired.
