My sister from Alabama gave me this recipe, my family can't get enough of them. They go real fast.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 pounds beef rump roast
  • 2-4 cloves garlic
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 4 - beef bouillon, cubes, melted in 1 cup hot water
  • 2 large green peppers sliced in thin strips
  • 1 cup juice from mild banana peppers
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon everglade seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon accent
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 8-10 - hard bread rolls
  • 12-16 slices provolone cheese

How To Make italian beef sandwiches

  • Step 1
    Place all ingredients except green peppers in crock pot on high for 5 hours. After 5 hours add green peppers, cook for 3 more hours. After 8 hours shred beef with two forks. Place two slices of provolone cheese on hard bread roll and place under broiler for a few seconds, ( will burn very easily ). After heated and cheese is melted place desired amount of meat on cheese put banana peppers on top and enjoy.

    can brush hard bread rolls with butter before placing under broiler.
