    round or rump roast
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1
    clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 small
    onion, diced

    beef bouillon cubes
  • 8 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tsp
  • 1 pkg
    italian dressing mix
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 pkg
    au jus gravy mix

How to Make Italian Beef


  1. Mix vinegar, 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon oregano and the garlic.
  2. Pour over seasoned meat, slicing onion on top.
  3. Cover lightly; roast at 350 degrees 3 hours or until done.
  4. Slice when cool.
  5. Before serving, combine sauce ingredients; bring to boil.
  6. Cool 10 minutes, then add sliced beef.
  7. Serve on poorboy buns.
  8. May be refrigerated 2 to 3 weeks.
