round or rump roast

vinegar

worcestershire sauce

clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp
oregano
1 small
onion, diced
salt
pepper

SAUCE INGREDIENTS

7.75 c
water
3
beef bouillon cubes
8 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
4 tsp
oregano
1 pkg
italian dressing mix
2 tsp
basil
1 pkg
au jus gravy mix

How to Make Italian Beef

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix vinegar, 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon oregano and the garlic.
  • 2Pour over seasoned meat, slicing onion on top.
  • 3Cover lightly; roast at 350 degrees 3 hours or until done.
  • 4Slice when cool.
  • 5Before serving, combine sauce ingredients; bring to boil.
  • 6Cool 10 minutes, then add sliced beef.
  • 7Serve on poorboy buns.
  • 8May be refrigerated 2 to 3 weeks.
