When we have italian beef at home I am "required" to make this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chuck roast
  • 5 cups water
  • 5 - beef bouillon, cubes
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 4 - bay leaves
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make italian beef

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in crock pot and simmer all day.
  • Step 2
    Pull roast apart using 2 forks (make sure to remove bones and fat and bay leaves).
  • Step 3
    Serve on french rolls, bratwurst buns, or any other type of roll or bun. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and/or pepper rings.
