- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green peppper
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- - flour for gravy (optional)

Step 1brown short ribs in oil. Pour off drippings. Cover tightly and cook slowly 1 hour. Pour off drippings again.

Step 2Combine remaining ingredients and pour over short ribs. Cover and continue to cook slowly an additional hour.
