Irish Beef Stew the Slow Cooker Way

3 lbpot roast cut into 1 inch cubes

1 Tbspall-purpose flour

2 Tbspcanola oil

1 can(s)beer

1 can(s)chicken stock

8 mediumcarrots, cut up

5potatoes peeled and cut up

1onion chopped

1 smallheavy cream

1 tspworcestershire sauce
How to Make Irish Beef Stew the Slow Cooker Way
- Heat 2 tablespoons canola oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook, stirring until soft and translucent. In a bowl toss cut up beef in 1 tablespoon of flour, season with salt and pepper until beef is well coated. Add seasoned beef into a pan and sear on all sides until brown.
- Add cook onions and sear beef into slow cooker.
- Peel and cut up potatoes and carrots, place into slow cooker, along with chicken stock, beer and Worcestershire sauce. Cook in slow cooker on low for 7 to 8 hours while you are at work.
- Place heavy cream into slow cooker about an hour before serving.
