This is like what I loved that the school lunch room served in grammar school.. I called the school several times trying to get this recipe and found this many years later...My daughter and all who I've made this for loves it...and it's so simple! It is really great served with jiffy cornbread. I hope you all enjoy.

Ingredients For indian stew

  • 2 lb
    hamburger, or any ground beef you prefer
  • 1 md
    onion
  • 1/2 lg
    bell pepper
  • 2 can
    tomato soup
  • 2 can
    corn (doesnt have to be drained)
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How To Make indian stew

  • 1
    Chop onion and bell pepper, and in large pot fry together Hamburger, onion, and bell pepper till hamburger is done and no longer pink. Drain
  • 2
    Add soup, corn, and spices ( you can add pepper if you like )

    simmer for about 10 minutes and serve with jiffy cornbread. (thats just the way I grew up having it in school) The jiffy cornbread mix is easy and compliments it well.
