How to Make Hungarian Goulash
- In large, heavy sauce pot, sear beef cubes in olive oil.
- Peel and slice onions, add to beef cubes, cover and let cook down 10 minutes.
- While onions are cooking, mix the tomato paste and beer in a medium bowl. Add to pot and then spice with salt, pepper and paprika to your personal liking. Add bay leaf,then cover and simmer for one and a half to two hours, or until beef is tender. Remove bay leaf prior to serving.
- Serve over egg noodles, rice or potatoes. Our preference is bow ties,or dumpling style.
