hubby's favorite texas bbq brisket

this is my husbands favorite recipe for BBQ brisket. We both grew up in Texas and I have found that this is the perfect combination of flavors for the perfect brisket!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 4 lb beef brisket, trimmed of most fat
  • 1 bottle sweet baby rays barbeque sauce
  • 1 can beer
  • 1 - onion diced
  • 4 - garlic cloves, diced
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 2 tablespoons lawrys seasoned salt

How To Make hubby's favorite texas bbq brisket

  • Step 1
    Rub meat with Lawrys seasoned salt on both sides. Place in 9 x 13 inch baking pan and cover tightly with foil (do not add water)
  • Step 2
    Bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours. Mix bottle of barbeque sauce, beer, onion, garlic and liquid smoke well. Por over meat. Cover tightly and bake 1 more hour
  • Step 3
    uncover and slice with the grain. Serve and watch it disappear!
