Ingredients

  • 4 cups beef broth, homemade or reduced sodium
  • 1/2 cup ketchup, reduced sodium opt
  • 1 teaspoon spicy mustard
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chili powder, mild or hot
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons granulated onion
  • 2-3 tablespoons corn flour
  • 1/2 -1 cup hot water

How To Make hot dog chili

  • Step 1
Homemade broth has less sodium and more flavor!!! Warm stock, add all ingredients and simmer on low for about 20 min. Taste and adjust (add more) any seasonings as needed. To thicken mix 2-3 tbsp of corn flour to enough HOT water (1/2 - 1) to make a paste, make sure all lumps are dissolved. Add to sauce, whisk to combine and simmer on very low for about 15 min. longer. If it's not thick enough for your taste, repeat.
