Ingredients

  • 2 1/2
ground chuck, the leanest you can buy
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    cumin
  • 1 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 c
    minced onion

How to Make Hot Dog Chili Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Put ground chuck in a blender and "pulse" a couple of times. Be sure not to do more than 3 pulses. I find it easier to divide my beef into about 3 batches to do this. I personally add my water and tomato sauce to the blender as well just to help it pulse better.
  2. Pour out of blender into a crock pot. Add all other ingredients to your crock pot at this time.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours in the crock pot. Stirring occasionaly.
