Ingredients
- 2 1/2 - ground chuck, the leanest you can buy
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 cup minced onion
How To Make hot dog chili sauce
-
Step 1Put ground chuck in a blender and "pulse" a couple of times. Be sure not to do more than 3 pulses. I find it easier to divide my beef into about 3 batches to do this. I personally add my water and tomato sauce to the blender as well just to help it pulse better.
-
Step 2Pour out of blender into a crock pot. Add all other ingredients to your crock pot at this time.
-
Step 3Cover and cook on high for 4 hours in the crock pot. Stirring occasionaly.
