hot damn sauce for taverns

When I make taverns I brown all the hamburger with a lot of onions. Add beef broth and some hot damn sauce. Goes over big time with family and friends.

Ingredients For hot damn sauce for taverns

  • 1 stick
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 can
    tomato paste
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c
    oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion powder, or to taste
  • 4 Tbsp
    honey mustard
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    chipotle peppers in adobe sauce, minced
  • 2 c
    hot damn schnapps

How To Make hot damn sauce for taverns

    Start with melting the butter. Add brown sugar. Stir.

    Slowly add each ingredient in order given, stirring all the time.

    Bring to a rolling boil. Boil until it starts to reduce down. It will cook all the alcohol out and just leave the flavor.

    Adjust flavors to taste.

    Let cool. I use this when I make taverns with some beef broth added.
