Ingredients

  • 4 small sweet peppers, diced
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 3-4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package sausages or bratwurst
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey

How To Make honey mustard sausages with mashed potatos

  • Step 1
    In a large pan melt butter over med high heat. Add sausage or bratwurst and cook until brown.
  • Step 2
    Add the onions and peppers and cook until softened. Remove sausage from pan and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Add garlic and red pepper flakes stir in the flour and cook for a minute. Whisk in the chicken stock and continue to stir.
  • Step 4
    Stir in Dijon mustard and honey. Add the sausages back in and simmer on low for 3-4 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
  • Step 5
    Serve with mashed potatoes.
