Ingredients
- 1 package bacon
- 1 - green bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium yellow onions, diced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 can tomatoes, canned italian-style and diced
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can pinto beans
- 1 can kidney beans, canned
- 1 can black beans
- 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- salt and pepper
How To Make homestyle chili

Step 1Chop bacon, and cook over medium high heat in a large stock pot. Remove and drain.

Step 2In the same pot add olive oil, peppers, and onion. Saute until onion begin to look translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain and return to heat.

Step 3Add bacon back into the pot. Add broth, tomato sauce, diced tomato, beans, and spices. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer on low heat 30-45min.

Step 4Serve hot. Top with sour cream and cheddar cheese optional.
