I woke up at 3 am thinking about sloppy joes and thought "what could I do to get away from the same ole joes"? I thought why not a mix of salsa,ketchup and seasonings and boy did I hit a homerun, This is my husbands favorite meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    hamburger
  • 1
    onion , diced
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    seasoning salt
  • 1/2 c
    medium salsa
  • 1/2 c
    ketschup
  • 1/8 tsp
    tomato paste, italian
  • ·
    applesause (optional)
  • ·
    carrots (optioanl)

How to Make Homemade Sloppy Joes

Step-by-Step

  1. brown hamburger, add all ingredients, simmer for 15-20 min. serve on hamburger buns with applesause, and raw carrots as a side and enjoy.You can also have a salad or any side dish you wish.
  2. Note: I didn't use measuring tools for this recipe so you can add as little or as much as you wish, it's to taste.
