This is a great recipe for that yummy sloppy sammich. It tastes fresh and lots better than the canned stuff you buy.

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 Tbsp
    white vinager
  • 1 Tbsp
    worchestershire sauce
  • 1
    8oz can tomato sauce

How to Make Homemade Sloppy Joe Sauce


  1. Brown ground beef in large sauce pot or skillet with pepper and onion. Drain grease.
  2. Add all other ingredients, mix well. Cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. That's it. You can serve on whatever bread you perfer.
