I really did not measure the amount of fresh bread crumbs, so the amount listed is a guess. I used 5 pieces of bread. Put them on a cookie sheet in a 300 degree oven for about 30 minutes, then put in food processor.

- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2-3/4 cup milk
- 1-2 cup bread crumbs, fresh
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
- - salt and pepper
- dash onion powder (because my kids pick out the onions)
How To Make homemade meatballs

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray large baking dish with Pam or other spray coating. Mix all ingredients well. I did this by hand, but I'm sure dough hooks would work fine. Shape into walnut sized (1 inch) balls or larger if serving as a main dish (Spaghetti).

Step 2Sauce(s): My husband and daughter both prefer a brown gravy with their meatballs, served over buttered noodles. I usually use a packaged brown gravy mix. Personally, I prefer the BBQ sauce, and they are just as yummy with the buttered noodles. BBQ Sauce - 1 can crushed tomatoes 1/2 c. vinegar 1/2 - 1 c. brown sugar (depending how sweet you like it Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and bring to boil. If everyone likes this sauce it is especially good to pour over cooked meatballs and let simmer in a slow cooker. Serve with
