1 lb
ground beef
1 1/2 lb
italian turkey sausage, spicy-no casing
3 tsp
fresh chopped oregano
3 tsp
fresh chopped basil
1 small
yellow onions
1 small
green bell peppers
1 small
cottage cheese (small curd)
2 tsp
italian seasoning
1 can(s)
spaghetti sauce (your favorite brand)
1 small
can tomato sauce
cajun seasoning, garlic salt, and onion powder use to your taste preference
2 pkg
mozzarella cheese
1 c
parmesan cheese
1 pkg
lasagna noodles

How to Make Homemade Lasagna


  • 1Chop your bell pepper, onion, basil and oregano set aside. Put your noodles on with salted water (i use kosher salt)
  • 2if you purchased turkey sausage with case remove casing and brown your ground beef and spicy italian sausage. Cook half way and add your onion, bell pepper, basil and oregano. cook remainder of the way. Taste and season as needed. Drain fat from meat mixture. Add Spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce. Stir well and set aside.
  • 3In a blender add your cottage cheese,egg and italian seasoning. Blend.
  • 4drain your noodles and spread them out.
  • 5grease a medium sized with olive oil and begint to layer your lasagna. Begin with your noodles, then add some of your meat mixture, spread to cover noodles and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and add some of the cottage cheese mixture and add mozzarella cheese. repeat layers. final layer should be meat mixture and mozzarella cheese. Bake in over for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes until top cheese is golden brown and bubbly. ENJOY!
