A friend made this for a men's prayer group meeting. It has been my husband's favorite ever since.

ground chuck
3 large
onions, chopped
2 medium
bell peppers, chopped
celery stalks, diced
1 clove
garlic, minced
1 1/2 oz
chili powder
4 Tbsp
1 tsp
garlic salt
1 tsp
onion powder
1 tsp
mrs. dash seasoning
8 Tbsp
1/2 c
cool water
1 can(s)
beef broth
1 can(s)
pinto beans, ranch style

How to Make Homemade Chili


  • 1Brown meat in a dutch oven sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Drain any grease.
  • 2Add onions, bell pepper, and celery. Cook for 10 minutes on medium-low heat or until wilted. Add minced garlic, chopped jalapeno,chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, onion powder, and Mrs. Dash.
    Continue cooking for about 5 minutes.
  • 3Blend flour in water until thoroughly dissolved. Add to meat mixture. Add beef broth and mix well. Cook for 20 minutes.
  • 4Add beans and simmer for 30 minutes.
