  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 small
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    dried parsley
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • ·
    salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 1/2 c
    beef broth
  • 2 c
    rotini pasta
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato sauce, 8 oz
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Homemade Cheesy Italian Hamburger Helper


  1. Heat a larger skillet over medium heat. Brown the ground beef, paprika, parsley, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Drain grease when browned.
  3. Add beef broth.
  4. Add milk.
  5. Add tomato sauce.
  6. Add noodles.
  7. Stir and bring to a boil.
  8. Cover and simmer 10-12 minutes. Stir frequently so it doesn't stick.
  9. Stir in cheese until melted. Serve.
